I’m a lover of the world and far off places who is so excited that you’re here. Looking forward to sharing more of my world with you and all the things I love. I hope this site really does feel like a wellness oasis right here on the internet.
It can often be intimidating to try something new but, I’ve found it to be even easier when you feel at home. As a Black woman, I am used to being the only one in class, but I try new classes so often that I have stopped noticing. No matter where you go, if you’re trying a method for the first time, chances are it’s going to take time to learn so celebrate your progress instead of shoot for perfection. That being said, it’s always nice to be in a room with people who you can identify with, especially if it’s your first time at a new studio. The best perk of virtual classes is we all get to try new classes from the comfort of our own spaces!
I know many of us are looking for new ways to stay active, and I can’t think of a better way to do that than supporting a Black owned business. I’ve helped you out by doing the digging for you and sharing a quick list of 20 Black-Owned Fitness studios across the country. If you aren’t finding your city in the list, not to worry, a lot of these studios offer virtual classes as well. I hope you give these a try and share more studios you really love!
