I’m a lover of the world and far off places who is so excited that you’re here. Looking forward to sharing more of my world with you and all the things I love. I hope this site really does feel like a wellness oasis right here on the internet.
ONO is the epitome of a COVID baby. Professionally I come from a CPG background, most notably working at Halo Top on their international team. Halo Top was acquired at the beginning of 2020, and immediately after COVID hit. With the non-existent job market, and my restless personality I decided to make my own job. My co-founder and I have been eating our own rendition of ONO for years now and saw an opportunity to bring a better breakfast that didn’t compromise taste or health for the sake of convenience to the market. The rest is history, we spent 4 months working on R&D, branding, logistics etc, and before we knew it launched ONO in August of 2020!
Our product provides 25g of protein (with plant-based options) to keep you full and fueled for your busy mornings. We also pride ourselves in our fun and drool-worthy flavors like Cereal Milk, Vegan Rocky Road, Vegan Blueberry Muffin, and Caramel Apple! Lastly, we’re huge believers in adaptogens and have added a serving of lions mane mushroom to help keep your mind focused!
Oh man, what challenges have we not faced, haha! I need to be better about this but I always have the mentality that we can be doing more etc. and while it’s probably true, there’s only so much I myself can do/ handle in a day. The impact of this has definitely had a toll on my mental health some days. It really is a roller coaster though, because for the majority of days that things might not go as planned, the moments of seeing consumers enjoying ONO, or giving positive feedback really make up for it. There’s always going to be growing pains launching a new brand but just as with anything else, you take it step by step and tackle them.
Since we’re still so new, we’re focusing on growing our brand awareness through social platforms and nurturing our customers to see how else we can keep improving their lives and our products!
I always remind myself that the answers to the questions you don’t ask will always be no. This expands to experiences too. So if you have an idea, keep building it. You don’t need to go all or nothing, but keep pushing forward until you feel like you have an answer to the question you’ve been asking! My second piece of advice is that it’s super easy to feel overwhelmed, time-block and set time for personal growth aside from your business as well. This has been especially challenging for me, as I feel like I need to spend every waking moment doing something productive for ONO, but that’s the number 1 way to burn out, and lose motivation!
