As the temperatures cool down even more, I’m always looking for great pieces that work between seasons. I loved my experience shopping at Nordstrom in LA a few months back so I’m excited to be sharing more finds from Zella by Nordstrom. I was looking for a few pieces to layer and really loved the Live In High Waisted Leggings. They feel super high quality, come in a variety of sizes, and are at a pretty approachable price point. I paired those with this Studio Lite Bra and was all set to go. You know I love a good black workout set, but I’ve been working on wearing more pops of color, so I was super excited to get this Fluffy Fleece Pullover in Cinnamon because it was the perfect cozy pop of color. Love that Nordstrom has free shipping and pick up options we well. Makes it super easy to shop from the comfort of your own home. You can also sign up to be a member of the Nordy Club which has so many benefits for frequent shoppers. You can get exclusive access to items as well as rewards and a consistently growing list of benefits.
My workouts have always been my “me time” which is crucial for me to show up in all areas of my life. You can check out my full outfit deets here. With temperatures getting cooler, I’m still trying to get outside for workouts and walks when I can. Having pieces like this pullover to layer is key because the temperatures are really cooling down in the NYC area. There are so many new options when I check in to see the latest Zella styles which I love. I also love that sizing is inclusive with so many options for different fits.
As I transition though the fall and into winter, I’m working on making self-care a continued practice and sometimes that really is as simple as just putting on a new outfit that makes me feel warm, confident, and ready for whatever is next on my to-do list. It can be hard to find motivation as the seasons change and it gets super cold outside. You’re not alone at all, it happens to so many of us. I love a good workout but it can be hard to stay motivated when the days are short and there’s so much to do as the holiday’s approach. As we all get through this time together, here are my top tips for finding motivation and becoming grounded in your needs which will sometimes indicate you need a break.
Gratitude: Take a few moments to think about three things you’re grateful for and write them down.
Goals: Think about your goals and remember your why, this always helps me when I’m in a rut and just don’t feel like doing anything.
Remember Each Day is a New Opportunity: Things don’t go as planned especially in a year like this one so if today isn’t going as planned, remember tomorrow is a new opportunity and leave your frustrations with today here as you move into tomorrow.
Change Your Current Scenery: When I need to get into the zone sometimes all it takes is changing my work environment. When possible, I like to work outside or just take a quick walk to refresh. Love throwing on my Fluffy Fleece Pullover if I am headed outside.
Honor Your Need for Rest: Sometimes you need to sit still and do nothing. That is okay, and honestly, if you honor that instead of beating yourself up, you’ll be able to bounce back into your to-do list with renewed energy.
Those are some of my top tips! What keeps you motivated?
