The best time to visit the Maldives is January through April which works well with U.S winter. At the moment, as of early 2022 only a PCR test and vaccine card are needed to travel freely to the Maldives. Getting a PCR test within 72 hours of travel is probably the hardest part since these tests are super delayed in most parts of the states. I found one place in Chicago that took insurance and would do a rapid PCR test but there are a few more options in cities like New York.
