I moved to Chicago in January, and it’s been so fun to explore all of the Chicago fitness studios as the world opens back up. When I first moved, I looked for workouts near me and began exploring. Love a good workout class before or after a long day of work.

I’ve always loved being able to work out outside of my apartment so I’m thankful we’re able to do it safely again. Health and fitness are super important to me, so I’m excited to share some of my favorite places to work out in Chicago with you. Whether you’ve moved here recently, have lived here for a while, or are just here for a few days, you’ll want to check these out. When I visit other cities in the United States, I’ll often use Classpass to book a local class just to try something new, so I highly recommend that to others as it’s a huge time saver with a variety of studios in one platform. I’ll save you the time looking, searching, and trying to find the best options by sharing the best studios Chicago has to offer here.

This list will definitely be updated as I continue to explore, and if you’ve got studios you love, feel free to leave them in the comments! These are really some of the best workout classes now near me. I’ve been meaning to try SALT Fit which I’ve heard great things about, so I’ll share reviews once I’ve tried the classes myself.

1. Studio Three: My top choice overall because this studio has it all and was a huge reason I was excited to move here. You can cycle, do yoga or crush a HIIT class all under one roof. They’ve got three locations, so there’s likely one near you, and some really cool outdoor spaces as well. The new Fulton market studio is STUNNING.
2. Train Moment: This is such an awesome BIPOC, local family owned option that offers low impact, strength-forward workouts. Super effective and great for people who need a little direction when lifting weights. I found this studio on Classpass just about a month ago, and I’m so glad I did. It’s been the perfect workout for both my fiancé and I to enjoy.
3. Studio Lagree: I’ve been going to Katie’s class since February. Lagree is one of my favorite workouts–think Pilates plus a little more cardio and heavier weights. This is a core-killer in the best way, and Katie’s music is on point! There are multiple locations, but I usually go to River North.
4. Ritual Hot Yoga: Hot yoga is one of my favorite ways to balance my long runs, and Ritual is the best! They’ve also got livestream options if you’d prefer to do yoga at home. There are two other locations in California and NYC if you’re traveling to those destinations.
5. P.volve: This is one of my favorite low-sweat workouts, perfect for those days just after you’ve gotten your hair done. The movements are more challenging than you’d think, and the vibes are great. Glad to have a studio in Chicago, although I’ve loved having P.volve equipment at home as well. There are also studios in NYC and LA.
