I’m a lover of the world and far off places who is so excited that you’re here. Looking forward to sharing more of my world with you and all the things I love. I hope this site really does feel like a wellness oasis right here on the internet.
Working out has become a huge part of my life. It’s my one time out of the day where I’m fully focused on myself and committed to the moment. On average, I’m working out in some way 5 out of 7 days per week, often times before work or before a full day of stuff. Stuff could be anything from laundry and errands to brunch, so I’m often getting ready in a hurry post-class!
There are always new products to try, but these are some of my current favorites.
Wipe Me Down: GoodWipes for Body & Simple Skincare for Face
I love to shower after my workout, but sometimes that has to wait or the studio just doesn’t have a shower option. Sometimes, I’m in a hurry and coming from a not-so-sweaty class without a shower, so I’ll pack some wipes and a change of clothes to freshen up before I get home. If I need a body refresh, I’m reaching for goodwipes! The body wipes are good for you, eco-friendly, plus big enough to wipe the important bits. The Simple Skincare face wipes cleanse without bothering my sensitive skin. Both can be found online or at Target!
Moisturize Quickly: HoneyDrop by Farmacy
I bought “the mighties” set at Sephora, which is a small combo it of their best-sellers. I loved this lightweight moisturizer, and it’s the perfect size for my travel cosmetics bag. My skin is both sensitive and a combination (dry+oily), typically a bit more dry in the wintertime. Since I do wear makeup, I try to stay away from heavy moisturizers during the day so love that this is hydrating while being so lightweight. It makes my skin feel moisturized without the weighed down feeling.
5 Minute Makeup: NARS Foundation & Fenty Beauty Concealer
NARS has been my go to for years and every time I stray, I regret it. The shade called Macao is a perfect match for my skin, and it stays on all day. I pair this the Fenty Beauty concealer under eye and I’m good to go! Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch concealer is really full coverage and shade 410 is a perfect concealer for my complexion. I use a beauty blender to apply. If I really need the makeup to last I’ll use the Fenty Beauty PRo Filt’r primer before applying foundation/concealer.
5 Minute Makeup: Brows, Eyes, Lips & Highlight
I love the Benefit Conditioning Brow Primer and use it almost daily even if I’m not doing anything else to my brows. If I’m heading out, I’ll follow that up with the classic Anastasia Brow Wiz in Dark Brown to get my brows in line! Takes me just a few minutes and it’s super easy to use. I love my Blistex and I carry it around all day everyday but sometimes you need a little color. For Lips Bite Beauty’s Lip Mask in Maple gives my lips the right amount of shine and sparkle while really moisturizing as well. I don’t get crazy with the highlight but I feel naked without a little sparkle. I love the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Topaz (looks amaze on darker skin tones) but they don’t have a small version yet so I often use the Rose Gold color on the go.
Set it & Forget it: Urban Decay All Nighter
Urban Decay knows setting sprays and they all come in travel sizes so you can take them easily in a gym bag or on the plane. I was using the de-slick spray for awhile but while my skin is a little more dry in the winter I love the All Nighter. It keeps my makeup on all day with just a quick spritz at the end of my routine.
My makeup bag isn’t big, and I’ve learned to carry the essentials. These are some of my all time favorites and new go to products. What are you loving for your looks on the go?
